    Hi,
Does control work with midi via USB , using the Camera Connection Kit?

I have tried but have not get it to work. The hardware synth I used works fine with other iOS midi enabled apps via USB.

Could you point me to some available "interface" that should work, preferably one that provides noteon events?

Would it be possible to get a working example "interface", that has just a single button that generates noteon/noteoff events when touched/released?

Does anyone know of some iOS synth app that could run in the background, still producing audio, that could receive midi from Control?

    Kind regards

    Lars

    Hi Lars,

I've started working on adding the CCK connection but it's not finished. I haven't tried running Control with any synths in the background as of yet... - Charlie

    Hi Charlie
Just wondering where the CCK code is at?
This would be a great feature to have

yes, I agree about it being a great feature... I don't think I got all that far on it though. If you look in iOS / Control / Classes / MIDI.m you'll see a method called rescanSources. I'm pretty sure this will enumerate CCK midi sources as well, and from there you could connect to a source. The same thing would need to be done for destinations.

Right now I'm concentrating on getting MIDI for Android to work, but I'll try to get to the CCK code after that. I'll also look around and see if I have anymore code that I didn't commit to the repo.

    Hi
I had a bit of a look but it seems it may be a bit more involved . . .
Found selectHardwareMIDI line commented out in destinationmanager . . .
So it does look as though it can even addDestination that isHardware at the moment . . .
Ultimately it looks like MIDI.connect has to be called though it only seems to deal with network connections . . .
Might have a bit more of a suss out of how to implement this all . . .
    Cheers
